Dust Pan Materials: Galvanized steel and raw beechwood.*
Horsehair Brush Materials: Made with raw beechwood and natural horse hair. Crafted in Germany.
*Some color variation of the wood grain is natural. The wood will gradually darken with use or may develop an attractive natural patina.
How To Use Your Horsehair Brush: When cleaning, it’s best to use smooth sweeping gestures. The soft, thick bristles will pick up dust, dirt, sand, ash, wood shavings, flour, and more. When you’ve finished sweeping, tap the brush gently to release any caught debris from the bristles. Sweep the dust pile into our Metal Dust Pan.
How to Care for Your Horsehair Brush: If your brush gets dirty, rinse the bristles in warm water. You may use mild dish soap if necessary. Place a small amount of soap into your hand and massage gently into the bristles until cleaned. Blot with a clean, dry towel to remove excess moisture. After cleaning or if your brush gets wet, air dry with bristles facing down to prevent water from pooling in the base of the handle, as this can cause damage. If necessary, comb out gently using a metal or wide-toothed wooden comb. After the brush is completely dry, lay flat to store.
Why Choose a Metal Dust Pan? This dust pan is designed to be the last dust pan you’ll ever need! Plastic dust pans break and chip easily, leaving frustrating gaps in the lip of the dust pan. Our steel dust pan is resistant to dents and offers a perfectly flush metal lip for effortless cleanup. It is also heat resistant, allowing it to be used for sweeping up hot ash and live coals from fireplaces, or to clean up hot messes in the kitchen.
