Molly’s Suds is a Trusted Source for laundry products with strict ingredient integrity and disclosure of ALL ingredients. We promise that we will never knowingly formulate with any of the following ingredients:
- Synthetic Fragrance, Dyes, Optical Brighteners, Synthetic Nonylphenol Ethoxylates, Petrochemicals, Phosphates, Chlorine, Known Carcinogens, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES), Phthalates, Parabens
How To Use:
Add one full scoop of laundry powder to the drum of your washer or into the pre-wash cup. Add your laundry, and set your machine to hot or warm water, unless directed otherwise in your garment care label instructions. For heavily soiled loads, add one extra scoop of powder. For those with hard water, we suggest adding ¼-½ cup distilled white vinegar in the rinse cycle.
Because the name of one of our ingredients sounds so similar to a well-known toxic ingredient, we want to share why there is no need to be concerned. Sodium lauroyl sarcosinate is NOT sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) — not even close. We chose sodium lauroyl sarcosinate carefully, and we assure you, it is safe!
Sodium lauroyl sarcosinate is derived from the naturally occurring amino acid sarcosine. You’ll find sarcosine in pretty much every type of biological material, including plants, animals, and your own body. We use it because it is a safe surfactant that boosts cleaning power. It is low-sudsing, which means this Super Powder is still safe for your HE machines.
Wait – where are the bubbles?
Our Super Powder is a low-sudsing formula. We know it might seem odd when you look into your washer and there’s hardly a bubble to be found, but we promise, our Super Powder is still doing its job!
Suds are unnecessary for an effective clean (although for decades we’ve been tricked into believing they are essential). But in reality the reverse is true — too many suds can create what is called a ‘foam barrier’ that prevents the soap from doing its job, and leaves a residue on clothing. Suds can also inhibit the HE washing machine sensors that trigger rinse cycles, causing excess wear and tear, poorly laundered clothing, and grimy linens.
None of our Molly’s Suds Laundry Powders contain any extra sudsing agents. We just don’t need them. Instead, we’ve chosen a handful of pure, natural surfactants and other ingredients that offer an effective, toxin-free clean.
